Just for the sake of not overlapping anyone's work, so far I am working on the Massachusetts/Connecticut/Rhode Island Ushers. These are the descendants of the two brothers, Hezekiah and Robert Usher who immigrated to the Colonies in the 1630s. I haven't included Hez and Robert and the first few generations because I have few definitive census records (lots of other kinds of records, tho). Because of many duplicate names -- lots of Johns, Roberts, Daniels, etc -- it is difficult to work out which was which on the early censuses.

I will expand my listing to include the rest of New England (Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire) unless someone has already begun those areas.

It would be helpful to me if we could check in with each other now and then, to make sure we aren't doubling.

What do you think?
