I am looking for a James Jim Harmon, my husband's great grandfather. Approximate year of birth 1810 and estimated death after 1870. Believed to have lived and raised his family in or around Jonesville Township of Union County, SC. James was married to a Rosanna Williams and I am also searching for additional information on Rosanna. Will appreciate hearing from anyone who may be able to help.

I am looking for the same information. I don't have anything solid to add to what you have except that I am a descendant of Golden Harmon and Hettie Pickens. Golden was one of James' sons. I was wondering if you have found any information about either James' or Rosanna's ancestors. Thank you.

I have found some evidence that James may have been killed in action at the battle of Cold Harbor in June 1864. Still looking for more info.
