Hello,

I read with interest your response to my favorite cousin Joe's inquery a number of years ago. I am Charles V. Uranga's eldest grandchild. My name is Marie Yvette and my mother is the eldest of his only two biological children. My Great Grandfather was also Clemente. I remember visiting him as a child quite often in the elder facility in which he lived toward the end of his life.

I would love to know more about you since we are related. Please respond to my email and let's connect. I am sure we have much much much to share with one and other. BTW my family- which I define as being from Norma and Yvonne(Bonnie) Charle's offspring are simply amazing. Reunion???

blessings,
Marie Yvette

Marie... great to hear from you! I have been interested in finding information on the Uranga side of my family for years. I don't know why my mother never taught us about our family history. When I was growing up I never considered myself anything but white which was totally wrong. We lived in a white neighborhood and all my friends were white but I knew my mother had family and friends that spoke Spanish. As kids we were left out of the social functions that the adults took part in. We were left with a babysitter or by ourselves while my parents did their visiting/socializing with their friends and relatives. I never understood this concept. Clemente was my grand father and Charlie was my uncle. We visited uncle Charlie once in Eagle Pass, Texas when I was small but again us kids were always left at home to entertain ourselves the best we could. I have seen uncle Charlie 3 or 4 times in my life. I did have an uncle Glenn who had 3 daughters. I did get to know them a little when we in our early teens but lost all contact after that. I never met my uncle Willie, or Henry. I met uncle John only once. I was very interested in Clemente. I wish I knew more about his life and how he started the Uranga clan. I know nothing of my mother's mom. I think she died when my mother was an infant but I'm not sure. It seems so odd that I have all these relatives and know nothing about them. Any information you can add would be a big help. My mother is Eliza Uranga and I'm Richard Morley. I was born in 1950 so I'm almost 61 years old and live in Utah. Well thanks for the reply back and hope to hear from you again.

Hello Richard,

My father is Henry Uranga, one of your uncles that you unfortunately never met. I just spoke to my Aunt Lisa (as I've always known her) very recently regarding family history but she wasn't able to provide anything new. I've been piecing together bits of information here and there on Grandfather Clemente and his family. I would be interested in hearing what you've found over the years.

Henry Uranga was my uncle whom I met as a child in Alpine Texas. My mother is Evangelina Uranga Villarreal, Henry's 1/2 sister from Clemente's second marriage to Isidra. Grandpa Clemente lived with us in El Paso my first two years of college and was a joy to be around. I am Glenn Villarreal, I moved to San Antonio to work for Uncle Charlie in the real estate business 1979. I owe my business success to Charlie Uranga. I have many stories to tell, all good about Clemente and Uncle Charlie, and our lives together from 1973 through 1987.

My name is Mary, I am busy finding out my family tree that has
been forbidden to me for so long.
I find that my mother's maiden name was Uranga. Her parents were:
Virginia D. and Henry Viscont Uranga. Henry's parents were Guillerma
Viscont (Vizcaino) and Clemente Uranga.

Do you have or know of any possibilities?

Thanks, any help is appreciated
