Our family is attempting to fill in the blanks on our family tree. My grandfather, Salvador Uranga, was raised in Monclova Mexico and came to the U.S in about 1910. He went to San Marcos, Tx where he married Benita Marines. Together they had 4 sons and 1 daughter, (Consuelo, Ernesto, Ruben, Jose, and Luis). If anyone knows of anything already written on the origin of our last name please write and give me info or if you have info on Uranga's from Monclova please write. I'm new to geneology but would like to write a history of our branch. We are also planning a reunion soon. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I have a good friend named gerald Uranga. The reason I am writing is because his dad is named Joe Uranga. He's in his 70's now. They are listed in the Phone book. Hope this helps. I was just surfing and came across your request. My wife is also from Monclova. Her Mom is named Rosa (Marquez) Korrodi. Good luck~

Hi. Actually, Gerald Uranga is my cousin. Uncle Joe is my dad's brother. Small world huh? I've never been to Monclova, hope to get there some day soon. Thanks for your info.

Hi,

My father's first name was Ernesto and he married Jovita Rivera. They had 3 sons besides myself, Greg, Ernesto Jr., and Felix and one daughter Maryann. They moved from San Antonio Tx to California in the early 50's. I know a lot of family reside in San Antonio (I only met my cousins once when I was a kid and again about 10 years ago) but I know he had several brothers and some or all lived in New Mexico at one time or another. My father died about 12 years ago in California. Unfortunately we were never tight with family from Texas or elsewhere. So I'm looking to see if there is anyone out there who is familar with this branch of the family and who would like to get in touch with me regarding family ties.

thanks

My sister I I both live in San Antonio. We were unable to know a lot of our Uranga family, but our father's name is Ramon Luis Uranga and his dad was Ramon as well. He got info as a teenager that he had a half brother by the name if Jaime. He grew up in El Paso, TX, but his father had family in California. When I was in school in El Paso I found a cousin who's grandmother's name was Aurora.
Not sure if this connects to anyone, but it would be nice to get some more info if anyone has any. Good luck to all..
