Might want to try and contact a Peter Uram in Butler Pennsylvania. There were two Uram families that I knw about in Pennsylvania, one in the Butler/Lyndora area and one in the Pittsburgh area. Peter and Gladys Uram are still living in Butler and have done quite extensive research on the Uram family that settled in the Butler area. Almost all the families that settled in Lyndora were from central Europe/Russia/Czechslovakia/Carpathian mountain area. I'm interested in the Yonechko, Danchi, Zgibor, Tarcha family trees. I know I am distantly related to the Uram family of Butler and can supply some information on that family tree. Hope this is helpful. Cathy

Joseph,
Do you know where Ludwica (Ludwika) ended up?
Most of my Uram's ended up in Benld, ILL.
Course I haven't gotten very far on them, almost impossible to find info on them. Not even a SSDI on my Grandfather, and a few of his children collected benefits!! Most of the Uram's had to be related, because they'rearen't thet many of them. My emails apey59@aol.com. Do you have anymore names or anything? Let me know......

Are you aware of the Carpatho-Rusyn Society, www.carpatho-rusyn.org/crs ? Of our members (over 1,300) the village in which the highest number have roots is Habura. The Society's brand-new membership directory, along with contact information, lists members' ancestral surnames villages. A number of them have Uram roots too.

Also check out www.carpatho-rusyn.org and www.carpatho-rusyn.org/crrc if you haven't already.

Good luck!
