Joe Ulanowski was born about 1913 and his father was dead by the 1930 census, his mother was 36 at the time. His father is supposed to be Stanley Ulanowski. His mother says she came over in 1915, and Joe was the oldest child and he was born in MI. There were a couple of boys of this union, Joe, Stanley, Alfred, Henry and Louis.

This is my step-mom's family and I am trying to help her out.

The wife of Stanley Ulanowski was Kathryn/Katherine Szpont which has several spellings.

Am interested in what you know. I saw a few families on World Family tree and I think IL was one and PA was another.

Would Henry Ulanowski also be known at 'Hank' ? If so, he was my uncle, and I do believe my cousins mentioned they had an uncle Stan, who would have been Henry's brother. This line is nearly gone . . . Henry/Hank had four children, Henry (jr), Larry, Jerry and Deborah. Larry and Jerry never had male children, Henry did, but I don't know there wherabouts.

Do you know where Hank lived? The Henry had been in Detroit with the other family. Some left the state in the 1940's. Stan lived in Barry County MI in his retirement years. Stan died in 1980 and Henry in 1984 I think he lived in Redford, MI.

My grandmother's name was Wanda Ulanowski, her maiden name might have been Podchajeski.

My grandmother's name was also Wanda Ulanowski but that was after she married Michal Ulanowski. I am not sure of her maiden name. Both were born in Poland a bit before or during World War 2. I recently got in contact with a second cousin and with my father's help we came up with the attached genealogy.
