Ugay from the Philippines?
Is the surname "Ugay" a Filipino name? If so, what part of the Philippines are the Ugays from? My father and grandfather are from the Luzon Province of Cagayan.

hi, i'm alvin caldito from the philippines, These Family name, "Ugay" is from Aringay, La Union, my grandmother is from that province, Her complete name is Ciriaca Dulatre Ugay, but she migrated to mindanao during the time of President Quirino together with my grandpa who is also from aringay, which they name the place Also Aringay(Kabacan, North Cotabato). There are a lot of Ugays now living in mindanao, we have our family re-union every other year our next will be on december 2005. if you have some question feel free to ask me tru e-mail. Ugay family name is from Aringay, La Union, a filipino. My late grand grandfather Mr. Ambrosio Ugay died at the age of 119 yrs old. I just learned from him that Ugay family is came from La Union. And also a lot of our ancestors migrated to Mindanao in Cotabato others are in Bohol. Now my living grandfather is now at the age of 89 yrs old.

My grandfather is from bacuag, surigao del norte philippines..and my father is from mainit, surigao del norte. I dont know how we are related from Ugay in Luzon.
I am now living here in sydney, australia and I want to reconnect with my distant relatives here in oz.

My grandfather is also more than 90 yearsold when he died.., my aunt is now 91 yrs old and her sisters are 80 something...I think we will live long brother !! If not for the vices....my father died @59 and he is a chain smoker, my uncle died @ 70 plus and he is alcoholic...
