UEBELHÖR in Baden, Germany and IL, WI (USA)
My Uebelhör/Uebelhoer/Uebelher etc. ancestors came from Heinsheim, Kr. Mosbach, Baden, Germany in the late 1800's and settled first in Chicago, IL, subsequently in Milwaukee, WI. Their descendants are now living all over the U.S. Given names of the original immigrants include: Heinrich (Henry), Wilhelm (William), August and Louis.

Re: UEBELHÖR in Baden, Germany and IL, WI (USA)
Am researching the Uebelhor in Indiana and Germany... My grandmother's parents were George and Maria 'Mary' Volz. Am having much trouble finding much information, was wondering if you had come across these names in your search. Am living in southern indiana and am willing to share any information I have or help if you need any information from the Willard Library in Evansville. Thanks in advance... Brenda

Re: UEBELHÖR in Baden, Germany and IL, WI (USA)
No, I haven't run across the VOLZ surname, but I'll keep my eyes open. I don't know of any connection between my Uebelhers and the Uebelhoers of Indiana (of which there are many!). Mine all went directly from Baden, Germany to Chicago or Milwaukee except for one Louis Uebelhoer who lived in Iowa for about 40 years before moving to Milwaukee.
What are the names & dates of the UEBELHÖRs you're researching? Maybe I or others on this Board can help you out.
Cordially -- Dick Johnson
