In 1753 Johann Friedrich Uebel came to America. He may have been accompanied by his wife & a son Johann Friedrich. His ancestry can be traced back before 1600. He settled initially in Chester Co, PA and later in Exeter Township, Berks Co, PA He died in 1777. His estate was administered by his brother-in-law Georg Michael Dauber, who lived in what would become Schuylkill Co. Concurrently a sizeable population of Ubil surname developed in Chester Co. Can anyone firmly connect them?
The 1860 Census lists a John F. Uebel, South Manheim Twp, Schuylkill Co, PA. Can anyone connect him the earlier Uebel?
Will gladly exchange information. Have a fair amount on assorted Ubils.

Uebel - from where?

Where were your Uebel's originally from? My husband has Ubel / Übel / Ybel ancestors from Hösslinswart(h), Württemberg - parish church located in Buoch. I seem to recall seeing some Dauber's on the LDS microfilm.
