Hi, I'm your cousin Gloria. One of 6 children of John and Victoria Uballez. I've come full circle and am a "Uballez" again. My dad, John and his sister Mary are the only 2 left of their siblings. My dad is now 84 yrs old. Zacatecas, Mexico is the place where our history begins.

I'm not sure which family you belong to - isn't that sad?

Since I'm on here......and really don't know what prompted me to do this, I'd like to ask about some medical history. My dad has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. He's in the 1st and 2nd stages of it now. Wondering if this is something anyone else has or is now experiencing? Also, Diabetes is something that has 'happened' in some of the family in the later years - any info on this?

Thanks!

This is Richard (but you all called me Ricky) Uballez. Interesting to see how many people have replied to this.
The Uballez family was relatively a small family back in the 50's, 60's and 70's, but then as we all had children, the family began to grow and lose contact. But I am really interested as to who Kim Marie is. I thought I pretty much knew ALL of the Uballez's but this is really interesting to me. Just so you know my dad was Gregorio (Goyo) Recendez Uballez.
When our grandfather died in August 1972, I somehow got the death certificate and still have it.

Hi Gloria,
I am really sad to hear about my uncle John. I hope he doesn't suffer. He is a good man. From what I could guess, this is not something that runs in the family. Our granfather died of a brain anuerism but never really never showed any signs of any other illness. I remember he was working as a night watchman up until his really late years. How is my aunt Vicky and cousin Larry and your sisters? My wife Rosie went to school with you or Ginger and my brother-in-law, Marno Tavarez with Larry. Here's my # (909) 724-9517 Cell.

Ricky, I was unable to get into this e-mail when last I tried and my family tried to contact you/Adrienne, but didn't have any good phone numbers. My father passed away Jan 21, 2005. He was under Hospice care for just a few weeks at home when he died. He didn't want any more surgeries or to be in the hospital anymore. It was his choice to be at home. My mom is OK, as well as can be expected for losing her husband of about 60 years. My mom has the first stages of Alzheimers (as well as my dad). Thank God they both still know/knew us all. Mom is just confused sometimes and her memory is not good at all. I'm sorry you were not notified in time and I'm hoping that you get this message now.

Ginger is the one that went to school with Rosie and Larry with Marno. Please say hi to all.

Gloria

Gloria,
Please give my condolences to all of your family. I will let my mom and Adrienne know about your dad. I will pray for my aunt Vicki that she does as well as can be expected.
