Hi Irene, I also tried to reply to this email, I was living in Hicksville when John and Monica first met. I was wondering if you are in touch with Genene and Irene and how they are doing.

I knew John "The Greek" when he lived in Levittown. We were in our teens and got into quite a bit of trouble together. I've often wondered how he made out, and found your message in a google search for his name. I didn't know the rest of his family as neither of us spent a lot of time at home.

If you're successful in tracing him, I'd appreciate hearing from him or about him. I'll do the same for you.

Hello, hello!
I'm a Tzortzis, living in Montreal! There are a group of us here, and my father's family is from Molai, right outside Sparta. I didn't think there were that many Tzortzis' in the world, and I was surprised to see your post!

I don't think our families are related (I spoke with my Dad briefly yesterday), but I can tell you that my part of the clan is from Sparta. I have learnt from my Dad that some of my uncles and aunts moved to the Western US many years ago, and then many others emigrated to New York, Ontario and Quebec.

Glad to hear from you, and best wishes!

Kathy Tzortzis

Tzortzis's every where in the world

Hi, my name is Spyros Tzortzis and Im one of the many Tzortzi's who exist on this planet! I live in London (UK) and have been regularly visiting Greece and my grandfathers village (called Raveni in Thesprotia, Ipirus) since I 1996. There I have discovered a whole array of Tzortzi's and other families (Tasoula, Tzavopoulos, Pako & Stamata). There is alot of interest in descovering more about our roots and other Tzortzi's around the world. One theory is that the Tzortzi's "clan" left Sically many many years ago and founded Raveni in Ipirus (naming it after their home village of Ravena which can be found in Sically, Italy). Some think the opposite happened (we left Raveni for Ravena). Whatever the case, we would like to hear from you! Raveni is a beautifull village situated 40 minutes drive from port/beach town of Igoumenitsa and 40 minutes from beautifull Ioanina (the capital of Ipirus) which hosts the island of "Ali Pasha" (the town is built around a lake which hosts an island).

Anyway, the view from our village is stunning, breathtaking, utterly mesmirising, so peacefull and tranquill. Everyone heads up there during August for the 3 day "paniyiri" (festival) and stays for around 2 - 4 weeks. Its beautifull and your welcome!!

More: We are about 880 feet above sea level, have fresh water springs nearby, 2 meandering rivers, surrounded by forests and really big mountains!

Love, peace and happiness,

Spyros & family

Get in touch!

t_spyros@hotmail.com
I am searching for my half-brother, Johnny Tzortzis. He was born early 1940's to Irene Drozd and Antonios Tzortzis. He lived in Hicksville, Long Island, N.Y. and had a half-sister named, Josephine. He had a wife named Monica (I think) and a baby girl born around 1964-65. If anyone has any info please contact me. Thank you.
