Lawrence Tyx Dies of Auto Accident Injuries
Lawrence Tyx, 65, of 128 Dexter street died last night in the Emergency hospital, Buffalo, from injuries which he suffered Sunday in an auto crash at the corner of Delaware avenue and West Eagle street, Buffalo.
Mr. Tyx was riding in a car driven by his son, Martin Tyx, also of 128 Dexter street. The other car was driven by Donald L. Shanks of 63 Mayville avenue, Kenmore.
Medical Examiner Long of Buffalo is investigating.
Mr. Tyx was a well known resident of Tonawanda for many years. He conducted a tailoring business for a long time at the corner of Broad street, near Delaware.
Mr. Tyx was born in Germany and made his home here for 34 years. Surviving are three daughters and one son, the Misses Cecilia, Sophia and Doris Tyx, and Martin Tyx.
The funeral will be held Friday morning at 8:30 o?clock from the late residence and at 9 o?clock from St. Francis church, Very Rev. John A. Weismantel officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis cemetery.
