Jim: Try one first. Sometimes I can't pick up scanned items with my Webtv. If I can't, I have a friend with a computer, and we can use his address. Connie

Hi Jim-
My name is Paul Stousland and I know this is a long shot since it is based on your post from 2001, but my mother is ailing and she ran across a couple of pictures of Adelaide Tyvand and is obsessed about getting them to any of the family who might want them. Adelaide was my grandfather's cousin (we're not really sure how), so we don't know exactly where to turn. My maternal grandfather's name was Endre Stousland, from Barton and born about the same time as Addie. If you could give me any info I would really appreciate it.
Thanks so much.

Hi - Paul Stousland again-
Sorry- the info in my previous post was incorrect. My paternal grandfather was Endre Stousland. My maternal grandparents were John and Geneva Kellesvig. John was Addie's cousin. Sorry for any confusion.
Thanks.
Paul

Surnames: Tyvand
Good morning Paul Stousland.

A bit of time has passed since you made this post, but only this morning have I read it for the first time. I don't visit this site, but our adult son is apparently coming into curiousity about family tree(arrival of his own children can do that) and he passed it on to me.

You talk of your ailing mother. Would that be Connie Hood?

By default, I have come to be the custodian of what little worldly evidence exists within the family of our ancestors. That would include geneological information on some of the McGuires, but no photos or other physical "things." If you have photos of Adelaide(and any of her blood relatives), yes I would be pleased to add them to the file I keep should future generations take an interest in such things.

Unfortunately, I have nothing in our file about any of the surnames you have mentioned. Barton and Rugby, ND are very small towns. And they appear somewhat timeless. Perhaps you should consider making a journey there and just walking around and asking. I suspect you would unearth more information than you ever thought possible.

Best wishes,

Jim Tyvand

Hi Jim- Thanks so much for replying. My mom is John and Geneva Kellesvig's daughter, Ruth Adaleide Kellesvig. Which is where she figures her middle name comes from, your grandmother. She has two pictures, one on the back says Adeleide Tyvand and the other says Addie Tyvand. I was talking to my cousin the other day, (I'm 56 and she's 65) and I mentioned Adeleide and my cousin said she remembers "Aunt Addie" during family reunions in North Dakota when she was a kid. At any rate, my mother would love to get these pictures to someone who would like them. This is important to my mom and I would appreciate an address or phone number of anyone who would like them.
Thanks.
