Re: African American Tyus Tennessee
I'm not sure if you are talking about Willis Tyus (Henry Willis born ABT 1874) If so this would be Martha's brother. There is also a Willis or Willie Tyus(ABT 1815) that would be Martha's Grandfather- Father of Randal Tyus 1848)

Re: African American Tyus Tennessee
Do you have a source citation to confirm the connection of Martha Tyus to these men? I have a source citation to show that David Brockman and Martha Tyus married when both were 18. It occurred in Lick Mountain, AR (Morrilton). Martha's birth was around 1887. These other related persons were born prior to the Civil War (1861-1865).

Re: African American Tyus Tennessee
Henry Willis 1874 is sited in an 1880 census. Keep in mind I know that Martha had a least one nephew that was also given this name- he is he brother James Clayton's 1896 Son. Information on Willis is somewhat scetchy. Other are naming him George Willis. I did find him in a district 9 haywood, TN record , I think but I did not attach it, sorry
