Has anyone tracked down this line before it showed up in Shenandoah Co., VA? There the name is also spelled DEISINGER and DUSINGER. There was a large population of Germans in Shenandoah Co. and this line appears to be that nationality originally. I am trying to make a connection between this line and the DEISINGER and DUSINGER lines that were in PA in the early 1700's.

I have been working on the Tysinger and its my understanding
that they came to PA from Germany and the name was Deisinger. One stayed in Pa and one in VA and Adam came to Lexington NC, and that is the line I am working on. My e-mail is tysinger@alltel.net

Yes! I am still interested. I did some more research a few months ago and came to the conclusion that TYSINGER, DEISSINGER, and DUSSINGER are one and the same. I haven't found my gggggggrandmother's family, yet, though.

I don't know if someone will get this post, however, I have come across a Tisinger Genealogy done in 1928 which outlines the Family starting in 1730 and then goes to describe Peter Teisinger who enlisted in Capt. Casper's Steover's 3rd Company of the 2nd Lancaster, Co. Battalion of militia on Dec. 25, 1781.

Hi Lauren,
I don't have names that match you in the Peter Tisinger descendants.
I have heard over the years that one branch of the family moved to North Carolina and changed the spelling to Tysinger. You might google Tysinger geneaology Carolina and see what you find.
Good luck,
Chris
