My Grandfather was Albert Tysall born 1908 Birmingham, England. I have traced back this TYSALL line to 1550 in England. I would be very interested in hearing from any other TYSALL's and collecting any information on any TYSALL lines throughout the world.

my great grandfather, James Tysall, was born in 1857 at Thames Ditton, London. He died on 8th Feb 1935 in Rugby, Warwickshire. I am having trouble going back any further. In reply to Adam Ashby, I have just found two Tysall's who died in WW2 FA Tysall and FW Tysall, both of Birmingham!

My maiden name is Tysall and I share a great grandfather with Keith (James Tysall born 1857 in Thames Ditton) His father was Thomas (born 1821) and his father was Benjamin (born 1796). Benjamin's father was Joseph (born 1759) and his father was Philip (born 1733). His Dad was John (born 1706) and all of five them were born in Birmingham! John's father Philip was born in Sutton in Staffordshire in 1672 and his father Richard in Erdington in 1642. His Dad was also called Richard and he was born in 1621 in Coleshill, Warwickshire. His father was Hugh Tysall, which is as far as I've got so far! I would love to hear from Keith to swap notes on the family. I'm finding out loads of historical information which I'm trying to get into some kind of order so that I can share it, and I would love to fill in a few gaps in the more recent family history. (My Grandad was Wilfred Horace Tysall (Bill) and he lived in Rugby. Joan

Hi!
I've read your message and my tree matches up with your Phillip Tysall (1733) his son Joseph Tysall (1759) and his son Benjamin Tysall (1796). I have only so far found 2 sons of Benjamin Tysall, and they are Henry Tysall (1826) and Charles Tysall (1830). My research becomes much broader from Charles Tysall onwards, as this is my direct descendant route! I also have a fair amount of information on more recent Tysalls, and I would be very pleased to be able to help anyone out and swap information.
Regards, Louise

Hi Adam,
I have been doing some research today for a friend - his grandmother - Sarah Ann Tysall - was born in Sheffield in 1895. Through the census records I have established that the family were in Birmingham in the 1840's - then some went to London and others to Sheffield. I have just seen Richard Tysall on the list of Birmingham men who served at the Battle of Trafalgar. They were silversmiths. They are also on the familysearch site. I would be interested if you have any information. This is not a very common name. Best wishes. Joan

Hi Adam,
I've just discovered this board. I'm not a Tysall myself, but my great grandma was. She was Louisa Tysall, born in Shoreditch around 1856. She married my great granddad, Edwin Henry La Roche and they had 4 children (a 5th died quite young and there may well have been others who died young also). One of the children was my grandad, Edwin Andrew La Roche.
I'd be very keen to receive more information on the Tysall line, so that I can expand my tree, and of course I'd be more than willing to supply any information you or any other Tysalls require about the La Roches.
I don't know if anyone out there has any photos of any of the Tysalls in my line, but if so, again, I'd be really interested to hear from you.
Regards, David
