Surnames: Tyo/Stevens
I had an aunt Elizabeth STEVENS was born on 13 Dec 1899 in Ontario. She died on 04 Jul 1990 in Cornwall, Ontario.
Elizabeth married (1) Alexander YENOR and (2) Leonard TYO. I remember Len & Aunt "Lizzie" coming to visit us in Toronto before 1955 but do not remember ever seeing them after that date so I have no idea when Leonard passed away. Does anyone have any information on Leonard - who his parents were, dates of birth & death? Thanks very much.

Hello Millie - I don't think that this could be the same Leonard Tyo that I am after. As I mentioned, my "Uncle" Leonard (by marriage) used to come and visit with us in Toronto. I wasn't born until 1946 and your Leonard died in 1910! I am wondering if he could have been a nephew of your Leonard?
Thanks for trying. Eileen

Hi Millie - Just found an old picture of Elizabeth & Leonard getting married. Pulled it out of the photo album and was surprised to find the marriage date on the back - May 12, 1956 I would presume that they were married in Cornwall, Ont. Eileen

Hi Eileen:
I came to the same conclusion about Leonard. It is possible that there was another Leonard Towne and a cousin but not to my present knowledge.

Our Leonard had red hair as did his Father, Geoge and his sister Lillian and her son Micky. I strongly feel that there is Irish blood some where in the family. The Mother's side was French.

Good luck in your hunt for Leonard and I am hoping against hope that someone will eventually help both of us out.
Nice chatting with you via the boards.
Millie

Hi Eileen,

Leonard Tyo is my uncle, when Leonard and Elizabeth were married in 1956 they came to visit us in Montreal, ( my mother Judy was Leonard's sister ) She was dressed in her wedding dress , and she was so excited and so was Leonard.

I have been working on the tyo family tree now and I was wondering if Elizabeth had any children with Alexander Yenor?? Also she had a sister Pearl ( after the death of Elizabeth ) Pearl lived with my uncle Leonard. I was hoping to get a picture of Elizabeth when she was younger and also Pearl.

Can you help me out

Gail

Hi Gail - Sorry for taking so long to answer you. Actually, I just realized that it is exactly a year ago today that you sent your email!!

Do you have a direct email address that I could write to you at? I do have a few pictures of Pearl and Elizabeth from when they were younger that I can scan in to my computer and send to you. Do you live in Ontario? I am in BC. My email address is: westcoastgramma@shaw.ca
