Hi Christine,

I come from a Family of Tynes' and Lucas' and have been working on a Genealogy project as of late. I Know my family to be related to Tynes, Lucas, Williams, Sparks, Cromwell's, and Smiths. I'm wondering what information you've found and what you're still looking for.

Hopefully we can help each other,

Joshua Z. Tynes

Hi there. I searched my name on Bing.com and came across your posting. My great, great aunt's name was Jenny Keeling (i think the last name is correct) and one of her sisters married a man of African decent with the name of James Arthur Tynes (my grandfather). Jenny was born and raised in Nova Scotia; her mother was Canadian Indian (not sure if it was Mic Mac or not) and her father was Scottish and Irish.

Does this even remotely sound like we're related?

My husband and I are trying to trace his Tynes family in Dartmouth, N. S. His maternal grandfather was Thomas Tynes 1875-1946), the son of George Tynes and Elizabeth Williams. Do you have any info on them? Thomas Tynes married Florence May Wise Brown in 1901. They had 4 children but we have only been able to document 3 of them, Harold Jeffrey Tynes, Ruth Edna Pearl Tynes, and Lillian Florence Alberta Tynes. Would appreciate any help that you can give us. Thanks~
