In the name of God Amen. I Martha Tynes of the County of Isle of Wight
being in perfect mind and memory do make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner
and form as followeth. Item I give and bequeath unto my Sister Mary Tynes my negro named
Isaac and my part of my Fathers Estate, and all the Remainder of my estate that I am possessed with
to her and her disposal. Item I give and bequeath unto my brother Robert Tynes ten shillings.
Item I give and bequeath unto Timothy Tynes ten shillings. I do appoint my Cousin Benjamin
Tynes to be my whole and Sole executor of this my last Will and Testament as Witness my hand &
seal this 23rd day of August Anno Domini 1778.

At a Court held for Isle of Wight County the 5th day of November 1778.
This Will was presented in Court by Benjamin Tynes the Executor therein named
who personally in Court refused to take upon himself the burthen the Execution
thereof and the same being proved by Benjamin Tynes one of the Witnesses thereto and Ordered to be
Recorded, and on the motion of Sharp Reynolds who made Oath according to law and together with
Benjamin Tynes his Security entered into and acknowledged their bond in the penalty of five thousand
pounds with condition as the law directs, Certificate is granted him for obtaining Letters of Administration
with the Will Annexed of the said Martha Tynes in due form.
