To all to whom these presence may come Know ye
that I Samuel Tynes of South Carolina in the County
of Lancaster for Divers good Causes me thereunto
moveing have Constituted and appointed Joseph Pumfrett
Davis of Granville County and State of North Carolina
My true & Lawful Attorney to enter a Tract of Land
in the County of Granville on the waters of Flat Creek
& Little Island Creek on both sides of the Hico Road, it
being a Survey of land formerly made by Sharwood
Haywood Surveyor for Jacob Gray and by him the
said Jacob Gray sold to William Tynes decd the Father
of him the said Samuel Tynes and I the said Samuel
Tynes will Ratifie and Confirm all and every act
which he my said Attorney may act and do so as
to [?????] a right to the said Land. In Witness whereof
I have hereunto set my Hand & Seal this
18th Day of October 1790
