Does anyone have any history on her? She died in Akron Ohio. She originally married Jacob's brother but he was killed by a train. I don't know his name, however and I can't seem to find anything on her.

I believe you are referring to the Frank & Mary Selzer family of Akron. I think Marguerite was originally married to either Lawrence Selzer or Julius Selzer. My father (Lawrence Martin Selzer) was Jacob and Marguerite's nephew. My father was named after the brother killed in the train accident. My grandfather was John Selzer, brother of Jacob, Lawrence and Julius. John moved his family to Fort Wayne Indiana in 1922 and most of his descendents still live in Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio.

Hi - there very likely is more than coincidence here, but ready to be wrong. My grandmother was Marguerite Tindel (among multiple spellings of the surname), b. Hamilton County, IN abt 1907, died Indianapolis Jan 1936. She was the daughter of Sylvester, who was the son of John M, who was the son of Robert A. According to a biographical sketch on John M from a Johnson County, IN history book written in the 1880s, Robert A. Tindel was a "native of one of the Eastern states", and that "Mr. Tindle's paternal ancestors were Scotch-Irish and were among the early residents of Ohio". John M. was born in Dearborn Co, IN (near Cincinnati), the family then migrated to Shelby County, IN where they were deserted by Robert A. After Civil War service, John M. moves first to Johnson County, Indiana, then to Hamilton County after the death of his first wife and subsequent remarriage. I know nothing of Sylvester other than what can be found in the census data, other than his wife was Lydia, maiden name most likely Fields.

Not suggesting that the Marguerites are one and the same, but I'm extremely hesitant to believe that there's not some family connection somewhere to end up with that (for the time) unique name and same surname.

Thanks!

Marguerite passed away January 1, 1963. She and Jacob were my grandparents. Lawrence was her first husband and he was indeed killed November 29, 1916 while going to work. He was an engineer for a railroad near Trenton, NJ and his handcart was not available so he was walking along the tracks that day. I can't seem to find much on Grandma either, sorry.

I must correct my previous post here. I meant to say that Jeannette and Jacob were my grandparents. I don't know where the Marguerite came from except that Jacob and Lawrence's mother's name was Marguerite and also one of my aunts was named after her. Sorry for any confusion because of my mistake.
