Searching for information re: Michael (born in Ireland btwn. approx. 1835 and 1850) and James Tynan (born in Ireland abt. 1850). Father believed to be John; mother - Catherine; sisters - Catherine E. and Margaret M.; brother - John Charles. Family members emigrated from Ireland (possibly Co. Tipperary) in mid-1860s. Most or all settled in Pittstown (1870 census), Lansingburgh (1880 and 1900 census) and Troy (1910 and 1920 census), Rensselaer County, NY.

Surnames: Tynan, Delaney, Murphy
I know of a Margaret Tynan who married a Patrick Delaney. Had at least 2 daughters, Anne Delaney (b1774 Troy) and Mary Delaney (b1881 place unknown, most likely Troy) Names were from family bible from Anne's daughters wedding in 1928. Anne Delaney Married Edward J Murphy near (or in) Troy about 1896 and had 5 children. Mary never had any children. I haven't been able to find any source information about Margaret Tynan or Patrick Delaney though.

Thank you for your reply. The Margaret Tynan in my family never married. Since posting this message I have been able to do extensive research on all family members and identify the village in Tipperary from which the emigrated. Good luck with your own research.

I actually made a mistake, it was Bridget Tynan, NOT Margaret, I should have been referring to. Late night too many names. Glad you were able to dig deeper in your research. If there was a Bridget in your research that would have fit let me know, thanks for the reply.
