Well, this is a real long-shot, but my grandmother was Mildred Timeson Whelden. She is the daughter of Millie Frances Timeson and Harry Stewart Whelden and Mildred was born in Schenectady in 1902.

I have no link to the Timesons as of yet.

I, too, am looking for information on the parents of Peter C. Tymerson. He was born around 1794 and married Alida Wemple. One of his children, Martin, is my great-grandfather. I have been totally unsuccessful in going back further than Peter. If you or anyone else can help me, I'd certainly appreciate it.

Sorry I can't help much with Peter C. I haven't done much with this line in a while. I made a note to research further the names Martinas and/or Cornelius
Timerson as possible fathers of Peter C. and more research on Jemimy Van Vranken as his mother. What have you come up with for Alida? The information I have settled on came from various websites and I'd like to know if there's a general consensus. Her parents: Reyer Wemple and Willepie Peek.
Do you have information about your great grandfather Martin's siblings? My uncle's line is through Martin's sister Anna/Angela. I have seen both names used and would like some clarification. She married Charles Bromley abt 1857 probably in Rome, Oneida, New York. They made their way from New York to Kentucky, then on to Texas. In 1880 Anna was living with most of her children in Texas and Charles was a cotton merchant in Mobile, Alabama. At some point some or all of them ended up in Maine!
Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Kirsten

Sorry I have taken this long in responding. Had to go through a couple of boxes of stuff and am still not finished. Peter C. Tymerson married Alida Wemple. This information I have from a very good family source. Their son, Martin was born in 1834 and married Mary J. Sawyer. Their children were Frances E. b. March 14, 1859, Ida R. b. May 3, 1861, Mary A. b. Aug. 18, 1863, Charles b. Nov. 18, 1865, James M. b. February 16, 1868, Cora E. b. August 11, 1871, and Walter M. b. September 19, 1874. Walter M. is my grandfather and the above information I took from family bible pages. Anna would be one of Peter C.'s children. I believe she was born around 1837. I'll have more information as I get to the bottom of the box of papers and letters. Thanks for answering my message.

My last name is Tymeson. My father's family is descended from the Tymeson bunch in New York. Our family is now living in Iowa, and Minnesota, primarily. We have found the Tymeson ancestry in England, and some branching into Holland. My decendents settled in New York and Pennsylvania, before moving to the midwest. I am looking for more history for my father.
