Hi i also have the Tym family in my tree, some of them came over from Derbyshire in the mid 1800's. How much do you know about them? I have some missing links i could do with filling in.

the only thing i know is annie smith married Robert Tym born Derbyshire, England. annie was the daughter of george and emma smith, george and emma ran a shop on abbey hey lane gorton manchester hope this helps.

Hi hun, gosh took me ages to reply! I am a descendent from Sarah Tym bn 1844 derbyshire. Her sisters married, what relation are you?

Hiya, At present i've just found a Tym family from Derbyshire who is helping me with my family tree. I think your Robert Tym is most likely to be from my tree, where abouts he fits in im not to sure.I have a few missing links that this family is going to help me fill in.They have papers and documents dating back to 1377! If you keep in touch with me i'll try and help you at the same time.

i found a harold tym burial date 06/12/1950 at philips park, grave no 1280

also robert tym burial date 19/12/1957 at southern cemetery, grave no 4595.

Hi, thanks for that information.

I spoke to one of the Tym chaps and sadly he only has the same information from all the census collections as what i have already got.His uncle however is going to send me some documents that they purchased from the sheffield archives.

Are you able to trace back to Derbyshire with your side? My Tym girls came from Castleton to Manchester in the 1800's but other parts of the family stayed in Edale and Sheffield.
