I am looking for ZEBROWSKI, BAUER, and TYL surnames. These families generally come from the Ostrow Mazowieckie area, butimmigration records have read Lomza.

These families settled in the Jasienica parish, in the towns of Krole
Male, Swierze, Paproc, and Jasienica.

The ZEBROWSKI, BAUER and TYL families all share many common ties and many continue to live in Poland.

The family surnames include: BAUER, HYTROW, TYL, BORKOWSKI, JABLONSKI,SWARC, SZWARC, KONARZEWSKI, ZEBROWSKI.

The family of Antoni Tyl lives in Pennsylvania & New Jersey. The family of Boleslaw (Ben) Tyl lives in Indiana.

Hi there!

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but I haven't done genealogy in a bit.

The names you mentioned don't ring a bell at the moment, but I don't have all that much on the TYL family (orginally from Poland). Every once in a while something pops up or a relative remembers something of interest, but until then please feel free to look at my website for TYL names:
http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=katusz

Also, there is another researcher in the US looking for TYL's that came from Poland to the US. Search for TYL on the "Mazowieckie" message board.

Good luck!

Hello,

I hope you are there, still researching. I reread your reply and post. Some names seem to sound familar.

I am Joe Kozlowski Jr.. My father was Joseph Kozlowski, Sr. he was the 8 child of 9 children. His mother and father were Rose nee Tyl Kozlowski and Bronislaw (benjamin) Kozlowski. They lived in the "port richmond" area of Philadelphia. The rest of their children are as follows, Bessie(bertha), Edward, Irene, Chester, Rose, Boleslawa(Pauline), Joseph(Matthew) and Leon.

I am currently stuck. I have some leads I can share and maybe you can help and they may ring a bell. My Grandfather Ben died in 1924, sorry No lead. In 1920 he was a Blacksmith for a steel mill.

I'm hoping you'll check back. My family is related to Adam and Rose Tyl (nee Mackiewicz). My great grandparents were Mackiewicz, my grandmother (Stella Mackiewicz) was Rose Tyl's sister. The family you showed from 1930 census are my mother's cousins, I know some of them. I have Adamski and Mackiewicz ancestors who also lived on Almond St and some family still in Bridesburg. Adam and Rose owned a dry goods store in that area. Please post back or email me.

Hello,

I am Reposting another answer.

I am grand-son to Rozialia "tyl" Kozlowski. My dad was Joseph M. "butch" Kozlowski. Your grandmother's sister, Rose was married to my grandmother's brother, Adam. I hope I get this right, your Aunt Rose(grandmother's sister), I believe, was my Dad's godmother.

I believe, Adam came to America through Ellis Island with a Mackiewicz. I will email this to you. Also, according to a few cousin, Adam had two other brother's and a sister, Andrew, Anthoni, and Rose(Rozialia)(my grandmother).

I will try to email you again with this...

Joe

I was looking something up in 1920 census and found a Tyl that maybe someone here can use:
John Tyl - 50 yrs old - married - immigrated in 1910
a boarder in the home of Alex Jastrzymbski, Katy, several children.
This was 45th ward - Bridesburg/Port Richmond area

I can find out more on my next trip if it would help.
