Hello,
Ida E. Rogers was born c. 1904 (census-derived) in Illinois,
most likely in Hutton, Coles Co., IL. She is found with her
parents Alameda Medora ("Dora") Bensley (b. 13 May 1866 in
Ashmore Twp., Coles Co., IL; d. 19 June 1945 in Casey, Clark
Co., IL) and Charles Clark Rogers (b. March 1869 in Hutton,
Coles Co., IL; date of death unknown) in the 1910 and 1920
Federal censuses of Clark Co., living in Casey.
Ida is next noted in 1945, at the time of the death of her
mother. The obituary of Dora Rogers, published in the Casey
(IL) Bannister-Times July 27, 1945 (p. 4, col. 3) lists "Mrs.
Ida Tyhurst of Indianapolis (IN)" as one of Dora's daughters.
Hence my posting of this query to the Tyhurst board.
This is all the info I have on Ida Rogers and the unknown male
Tyhurst she presumably married. I have noticed a GEDCOM
in the Rootsweb WorldConnect collection which gives a family
of Tyhursts who lived in Clark and Crawford counties in the
approximate time frame discussed here. Anyone know if any
of his family ended up in Indiana? Or is there a different group
of Tyhursts under consideration?
Thanks,
Scott
