Not quite correct. The first was a warrant, not a patent.
FHL microfilm 13065 Liber 4:68-69 (Volume 6) 3 Aug. 1659 "Richard TYDINGS demands 50 acres having completed his Service in this province with William (BLOY/BLAY). Warrant for 50 acres return 25 January next."
Since service was usually for 7 years, he had probably been in MD since 1652.
Richard apparently sold his right to the above land, for the 1667 record is:
FHL microfilm 13068 Liber 10:600 (volume 12)
May 1667 "Granted a warrant unto John BROMFIELD and Nicho. ALLEN for two hundred Acres of Land upon the assignment of Elias RANDALL Henry BOWES? Richard TYDEINGS and Christopher BALL their rights for their servitude in the province."
The name of Richard's wife as Charity is from Quaker records, where the marriage of John in 1705 states he is the son of Richard and Charity.
