My aunt Mary (TWOHIG) Coakley lives in Malden Mass and she has the whole shot. I do know that my grandfather lived in summerville ma for years. If you need more contact me or call Mary Coakley in Malden she is in the Phone book. Let me know. I live in San Antonio Tx and grew up in Dedham Ma. Here in SA TX the Twohig name is alive and well James Twohig was a rich merchant in the 1800 and has a large section in the cultural arts Bldg. here in the Hemisfere Plaza also they have marked several large houses as there family homes. There was another group out of the border area of mexico who were famous banits must not be our side. Recently an individual called me about a fort the Twohigs sold land to the GOV here in Texas I didn't have any info . good luck JOET.

Dear Joseph,

Yes, the banker John Twohig is famous. I am trying to track down a Joseph Twohig who went to Texas around 1850, a brother of my ggf William Twohig, from Knocknagappul/Ballinagree near Clondrohid which is just north of Macroom in Cork. This is curious since the name Coakley is very common in that area.

Your talk of Twohig bandits is interesting. Who knows. Do you have any more info on these bandits?

I am quite sure Patrick Joseph Twohig born 1886 in Ireland Is my grandmothers brother. Her name was Hannah Twohig who immigrated to the US in 1907 from Queenstown Ireland. On the ships manifest is a Patrick J. Twohig. Patrick married Catherine Lyons and Hannah Married Francis X. Carney. I believe Joseph M born 1915 in Brockton is my grandmothers nephew. Also, I have a Mary M. Twohig listed in her wedding annoucement. Any more information about this Twohig family would be greatly appreciated.
