I have a common ancestor with an unusual surname who married Benjamin Fisher, another common ancestor of mine, both married in St. Mary Magdalene, Oxford on 22nd June 1845. Her father was listed as William Twocock.

Do you have any Twococks who may be related to Elizabeth who I assume was born around 1810 to 1820 from Surrey area?

Look forward to receiving your messages.

Well, my husband's uncle Ken is proud of the name (apparently the only one!) and he never shortened it. I think it's a cool name, personally. My husband's family is in British Columbia, Ontario, Florida, New York and Texas...they are all wonderful people.
Thanks for responding.

I have read your message re ELIZABETH TWOCOCK marrying a BENJAMIN FISHER on 22 June 1845 in Oxford. I have today received their marriage certificate and believe that ELIZABETH is the daughter of William Twocock and Elizabeth Magauran and was born in Horselydown, London in 1811. The second child of William and Elizabeth. William was a Block and Mast Maker. I have information on the brothers and sisters of Elizabeth which I can share with you.
I am also working with Dave Hough as we have common interests in the Hough's and Twocock's. Hope to hear from you - Annie

I have been researching the TWOCOCK family since 1976 and have a family tree which goes back to the early 1700s in London, and then I think back to the early 1600s in Hampshire before that.

I would love to exchange information with anyone who has an interest in the name.
Kind regards
Polly
