Marjorie Mabel Twichell was born sometime around 1908 in Illinois. She married Floyd William Lemmons. She had 2 children, one born 20 Oct 1929 (Marcella Lemmons). The other child was born prior to that. I have no information other than this. If you have any information, can you please share.

I have no direct information on your twichells but I think we are looking at the same family. The area and the time is correct. The other reason is that we think that a man by the name of Lamuel Twichell (or his father) changed the spelling from Twitchell to Twichell. Lamuel Twichell's Granddaughter (Lois Twichell) is my G.Grandmother. Send me all the names that you have gathered and the names of the locations if you could and I will try to put them together with my people. Just so you know, there are a lot of twichells in the area at that time. Also, Minn and NY. Regards Ron Blackwell Sidney BC, Canada

I do not have much information. All I know is that MARJORIE MABEL TWICHELL was my Grandmother on my mother's side. She married FLOYD WILLIAM LEMMONS. MARCELLA LEMMONS (my mother) was born 10/20/29 in St. Louis, Mo. Her birth certificate says that there was another child living at the time of her birth. We have a picture, but it's hard to determine the sex of the other child, we are leaning towards it being a girl. Marjorie supposely committed suicide when the two children were young, and they were adopted by different families. Marcella was adopted by RUSSELL LYNCH and his wife. Marcella married L.D. BUTTRUM then BARBARA BUTTRUM and BILLY BUTTRUM were born. She divorced L.D. and married MELVIN HARVEY ROGERS (my father). They had 5 children. JIMMY LEE ROGERS, JERRY MELVIN ROGERS, OTIS GENE ROGERS, PENNY SUE ROGERS (All born in St. Louis, MO., they lived in Flatriver MO), then they moved to Cleveland, TN and had me, SANDRA KAY ROGERS. We never met any of our parents family, except my father's mother. That's about all I know. If you have any questions, please EMail me. Thanks for your help.

Twichell, Marjurie Maybelle
Hi Sandra,
I have some information on your grandmother Marjurie. She had two female children #1 Edith May LEMMONS b. 20 Aug 1928 in Alton, Madison County, Illinois, and #2 Marcella Louise LEMMONS b. 20 Oct 1929 birth place unknown.
Edith married John Leroy STONE on 6 Sep 1947 location unknown. Edith and John had six children. I don't have the sex, or dates and locations on the children.
Marjurie's 2nd child Marcella married Melvin ROGERS in 1960, no location information on this marriage. My records don,t show any additional information on this couple.
I have this Twitchell line going back to 1460 in England if you want more ancestry on the TWICHELL line of your grandmother.
Please email me if I can be of any help on your search.

Brent, I would be VERY VERY interested in the ancestral line you have for Marjori Twichell going back to the 15th century. I have been working on this line for years with no luck. I would be very grateful for any info you might have that could spare me from additional years of research! Thanks, Ed (email: etwitch@yahoo.com)
