My great-grandmother was Lella Twibell. I mistook my great-great grandfather's name. It was not John, but in fact Daniel. Lella Twibell Murray died in Muncie, Indiana in 1970 at the age of 93. She had a sister known as Sade, and several other siblings, but I don't know where she was born or when she came to Indiana. Please help if you can. Thank you.

I am intrested in finding out who the parents
are of Lewis Twibell. My mother in law has
been researching this family for a long time
now and can not come to a conclusion on Lewis's
parents.. I do know that for a fact there is
a will left behind from David Twibell that Lewis
is his grandson. Talk about confusing.
Thanks,
Laura

Laura, I am researching the Currier line. I have been told my Gr-Uncle was named after a family member named Luther. Do you have information regarding your Elizabeth Currier's family? Thank you. Lois You can e-mail me at Taffyshay@aol.com I hope to hear from you.

What is the birthdate for the Lewis Twibell you are trying to place? I have records for 2 Lewis's from 2 different generations ~ all descendants of John and Elizabeth Twibell. One Lewis is the son of David, one Lewis is the son of Charles, and you might even have a third Lewis I haven't been able to identify yet. I also have a Levi Lewis Twibell. Post the birthdate and if I can help you, I will.

Like you, I am a descendant of John and Elizabeth (Currier) Twibell. I am currently the groundkeeper for the Twibell north cemetery where John, Elizabeth, and many of their children and grandchildren are buried.

I have attempted to e-mail your daughter via the e-mail address you provided. I haven't received a response.

I am trying to compile as much information as I can about the Twibell's. The Twibell cemetery has had a special place in my heart since I first visited it when I was about 16 years old. As an older-type person, I am very pleased to be taking care of it. I want to learn as much as I can about the people buried there ~ the people who are part of where I came from.

I have exchanged information with people from Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas, Ohio and Michigan ~ yet I haven't been able to tie into the Twibell's from Hartford City.

I'm more than happy to share any information I have. I always want to add more family to my file. I want to do this as sort of a "tribute" to that wonderful old cemetery and the people buried there.

Thank you in advance for your help.

My mother-in-law has some info. on the Twibell family.
She would be more than happy to help you in any way she could.
She does not have a computer though. She like yourself has visted the Twibell Cem. north.
her name is: Rita Morgan
address: 6363 E. 500 N.
Montpelier, In. 47359
As far as I know the first Twibell that she has is David Twibell.
Lewis was David's grandson.
I know that Lewis is mentioned as David's son but, in fact is his grandson.
Evidently, Lewis' mother is one of David's daughter's children.
We are unsure on which daughter though.
I would encourage you to check the records at the Blackford Co. Health Dept. in Hartford City, In.
This is where most of the info. is at. Or the courthouse there.
Hope this will help you.
