Are there any Tweddles,s originally from Aycliffe Durham out there ?. I am looking for Tweddle,s of Aycliffe Durham. They were millars & bakers . Some had a Farm of 9o + acres at Barf House farm North Cowton Yorkshire for several generations. In particular Elizabeth born 1806 wife of a ? Tweddle. Also a Myton Tweddle born 1761.
Any info' of Tweddles of the area would maybe be helpful clues.
Also William Tweddle born 1820, son of John, 1786 - 1857

I realize it's been 6 years, so even if your email hasn't changed, you probably have already answered your own questions by now. For what it's worth, I am a descendant of the eldest daughter of Mr. ? Tweddle (his first name was John), but not Elizabeth - she was his second wife. He had 6 children by her and 9 by his first wife (that I know of). I have collected a number of records for him and his family over the years, and have just now begun to put it all together. He seems to have been an interesting fellow. I took my first trip to the UK last year and visited one of his former homes, as well as the church he worked in before retiring to Barf House Farm. Let me know if you're still interested.
