I have 5 Mary Tways but no William Robb Tway on my data base. Do you have any other info. on time when they lived; marriage date; location - anything, that might help me identify which Mary Tway it is. A couple of them I have birth dates and parents, but no other info.

Mary Tway married William Robb HART Sr. William Robb Hart Jr. is my dad and he was born in 1920. He is the youngest of three, his older two sisters were Elizabeth and Ruth.

The two which look most promising are:

Mary Tway b. bef. 1881 in Indiana, d/o
Nathaniel Tway Jr. and Sarah Stuble (may be too early)

Mary Tway b. abt. 1885 in Butler Kansas, d/o
William Tway and Florence McGhee Collings.

I do not have that many Tways in the 1900's except for my husband's line. Therefore do not know if these will connect.

Thanks so much. I'm going to check with my dad to see if he recognizes either of these.

Surnames: Whiteside/Tway
I am related to John Tway (b. either 1747 or 1753 Elizabethtown, N.J., d. 1828 Paint Township Ohio)
by marriage of James Whiteside, son of Andrew and Mary Wood Whiteside, to Catherine Tway (b. 5/27/1838, d. 12/6/1888).daughter of John and Mary Turnipseed Tway
I too, would like to find information on John Tway prior to 1753 U.S.A. Maybe Wales?

Surnames: TWAY, DAVIS, BRITTIN
I am descended from John Tway as well, but have no information on his parents. My understanding from family history and other researchers is that the family was from Ireland. If you find anything definitive please let me know, as I am very interested too.

Very interesting. It looks as if our Tways are from Ireland.
Is your William D. Tway the ancestor who emigrated from
Wales? When did he come to America. I am very interested
to learn a little more about your Tways. I will be glad to
share more of what I know as well if you are interested.
