Hi, I have Mary Twamley and Kevin Twamley in my family tree. Mary is my grandmother and Kevin my great uncle. Mary married my grandfather, James Cleary and they lived in Glen Cairn, Nr Stillorgan, Dublin. I also have links to Blackrock. My great aunt Janey Cleary is buried there. Like you, Im intested in the family for different reasons. I only found my Cleary relatives in 2007 and have discovered that I have more siblings/cousins to find. Could we be linked?

My gggggrandfather James Twamley was from Co. Wicklow, Ireland and he was born in 1795. He married Elizabeth Hume and they had 7 children all born in same county and which one of them was my ggggrandfather William Hume Twamley. James and family with exception of oldest son (we don't know his name but born approx. 1820)immigrated to U.S. in 1849/50, sttling in Iowa, and my ggggrandfather moved on to S.D. We don't know which part of Co. Wicklow they lived nor why oldest son didn't come with his parents/siblings to the US (coming in through New York). I would like to correspond with you about Twamley's in Co. Wicklow. From what has been passed down, grandpa William (went by his middle name of Hume) graduated from High school in Dublin at age 14 (1847)and from another tip I received, the family may have lived in Shilelagh Barony.
