I am searching for info on my ggrandmother. Her maiden name was Ruby Twamley (etc.). Her father was supposed to have entered the US via Canada, from Ireland. I have been told that he was a drummer in the Civil War. She was supposed to have been born in NY. I don't know how, but she ended up in Kansas City, MO. She at one time married a man named Lafferty, had a boy Bonney Twamley Lafferty, and was divorced. She later married a man whose last name was Dusky (in KC) and he was supposed to have adopted the boy, who was my grandfather, and his name was changed to Jack R. Dusky Years later, I was told that they had found out that he was never legally adopted. How they found that out I don't know. Evidently she divorced Mr. Dusky and later married Charlie Sullivan and they lived in Mena, AR until they both died. She died in the early 60's and was in her nineties when she died, so she would have been born in the mid to late 1800's. I don't know what her parents' names were or if she had any siblings. I feel they must have been fairly well off because she had quite a bit of antique wedding china and other china, some of which I have. Any help solving this mystery would be welcomed.
