I am a descendant of Archibald Robert Twaddle who was I believe, a son of Charles Twaddle from County Longford. Could Archibald have been been brother to John Twaddle?
Also interestingly, Archibald Robert Twaddle married one Mary McCord, although I don't know if she was related in any way to the Margaret McCord you mention

I am pretty sure Mary McCord is related to my McCords...The Twaddles lived next door to the McCords....Margaret McCord had a sister...Mary McCord..but this Mary married Moffatt McCormick...there are other Mary McCords.....I'm pretty sure, too Archibald is John Twaddle's brother....I'll look up and check on other Mary McCords...there's one in Augintemple,. another in Clonturk...and another in Glebe...I'll get back to you with more information...I'd like to have your information...
I'll send mine to you via e-mail....Joni

John, I may be related to you by way of Archibald Twaddle. New to computing and unsure if my two previous attempts at making contact have reached you, I would be grateful if you would make contact with me. Regards, June.

I notice that your email was dated 2006, you may by now, have been contacted by a few of the family in Longford. My husband (who does not use a computer) is Charles Twaddle from Trillickacurry in Longford. He is a son of Charles Twaddle, who married Elizabeth Dunlop in approx 1930. Last time that we spoke to Victor McCord, was at John Twaddle's Funeral in 2001, and he again mentioned that one of his ancesters was married to a Charles Twaddle.
We have been married for over 45 years and we live in Warwick in the United Kingdom

Hi,
I am looking for a James Tweddell or Twaddle from Trillikacurry. He went to France, probably during the Napoleonic wars and married a French woman called Sara or Sarah. The Family has a passport dated 1818 which allowed them to leave France for England. The passport states that James came from Trillikacurry, County Longford and I have just found a burial in London in 1823, which I think is him, and which suggests that he was born around 1766.

Any information would be welcomed.
Best wishes,
Pene
