Twa-Touin-Tone

I found an interesting book online that states that Antione Touin, father of Roch Touin is actually a Tone. The name has more spellings! Talk about throwing a whole tool box in the mix, not just a monkey wrench! One has to be careful, since part of it was written by a man named "Anjou" who is a fraud.
If anyone else has read or seen this it make for good reading.

Hi, I am an ancestor of Roch Touin and come through the Twa lineage. I also found the Tone family tree that shows a name change from Tone to Thouin at Antoine, Roch's father's generation. The sources are given there as well. Do you have any information on Antoine's ancestry that shows a different lineage than Tone and do you know if the souces are incorrect? Both families come from Normandy and nearby regions. There is ample knowledge of name changes in Canada (Thouin, Touin, Toin, Twa, etc.) so I do not find it such a stretch to a change from Tone. I hope to verify the source material when I am next in France.

Hi, I also have the whole Touin family tree complete back to Antoine but I would be interested if anyone has his parents, etc. with lineage other than the Tone family. If we have two different lines of the family gong back from Antoine then it would be interesting to try to verify which one is correct. I like the research and since I visit France a couple of times a year it would be something I would do. Thanks.

Hi, I have to admit that I am very sceptical about the Tone connection and that is why I am trying to clarify it. That is also why I was wondering if you or anyone else had any information on Antoine's or his wife's lineage.
One thing that makes me doubt the Tone connection is that the Tone family tree says that Antoine came to Canada and I think that you'll agree with me that Roch was likely the first Touin to arrive here.
