Hello dear Tuyls,

I'm Céline Tuyls, 24 years living in Brussels, Belgium. My father: Philippe Tuyls. Gandfather: Constant Tuyls, his father: Henry Tuyls, his father: Pierre Tuyls.
I can tell you that the origin of your family name is Belgian. Frank August Tuyls (25 August 1855) left Belgium for living in Green Bay Wisconsin. He is born in Oud-Heverlee (BE). He married Catherine Charlon (1866) in 1890. She was born in Green Bay.
Do you know how many Tuyls are living in the USA?

With kind regards,
Céline TUYLS

Hi, I am a Tuyls also. I am trying to find any information on my father's (Dale) side. My great grandmother, Mamie Tuyls (her parents are Phillip Tuyls and Etta Dill) had my Grandfather, Oliver, born in 1920, out of wedlock and that is why he has his mother's maiden name. Mamie's parents raised Oliver and later Mamie married William Hale Carroll. They were from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and as far as I know, had lived there all their lives.
Mamie had 1 brother, Philip, who was killed in the Service in Virginia in 1921. Any information on Phillip or Etta Tuyls would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in Advance,
Laura Tuyls Guthman

I just read your message and I am a Tuyls. My grandfather and grandmother are deceased but I know together they had 5 children, including my father Russell Glenn Tuyls. I would love to trace my father's name back as far as I can. I didn't realize that Tuyls was Belgium

I am not a Tuyls, but your father Dale and his sister Etta are my first cousins. Oliver and his wife Tina were my Aunt and Uncle, and Mamie and her husband Bill Carroll were my grandma and grandpa. I have just started my search on the Carroll side of the family and was excited to see your post. I don't really know much about the Tuyls side other than what you posted. We lost touch with that side of the family when my grandparents died. Anything you can share about your Dad or Wm. Carroll would be greatly appreciated.
