My great grandfather's name was Mark,Marc or Martin Tuxson, however we were always told that was a misspelling of his real german surname. His middle name may have been William, I am not sure. He appeared in the early 1880's in Kingston NY where he married my great grandmother, Louise Brandt and they moved to NYC where he worked as a carpenter. He is listed in the 1890 NYC Directory, along with a Charles Tuxson as a carpenter. He died in 1910 and I have not been able to verify this except from Louise's obituary. No one in the family would ever speak of him. I just wonder if his name could have been Tuxhorn because in Kansas Civil War Records there was a John Tuxson listed who actually was a Tuxhorn. If anyone has any guesses or info please respond to me on list or email me privately at comedycook@aol.com. Thanks for any help! Linda
