Surnames: Tuvell
I didn't realize that there were this many Tuvells! My grandfather was Samuel Tuvell and came from a very large family that I know absolutely nothing about. He had several marriages, but in his second to last one, he married Florence Miller and had my mother, Deborah, and two other girls and one boy. He then divorced my grandmother and remarried someone else named Linda. He fought in WW2 (entered illegaly at the age of 16) and was wounded in action and sent back home. He has since passed away, but my grandmother (still carrying this surname) is still alive.

I was told that the name Tuvell is not common because it is a variation. My grandfather actually told us that it was varied from O'Tuvell and that we were Irish, but someone in my family found out recently that it is not true and we are not Irish at all. My background is quite confusing, but it is nice to know there are lots of other Tuvells out there!

Have you made a TUVELL connection yet? We have a Samuel TUVELL in our tree, son of George TUVELL and Elizabeth BIVENS TUVELL.

Born 6/23/1854, Died 8/16/1856

Our information stops there. He had 7 brothers and sisters. Let me know if this looks like a connection for you.

Hi, Elisha - I saw this post for 2004 just today! In 2011. Your grandfather, Samuel, was my uncle. My dad, Philip, and Sam were brothers. Sam used to operate a wrecker service and was a huge ham radio operator. His "handle" or nickname on the air was "Sam, the Wrecker Man."
