I am so happy to hear from you....the information I have is that Nancy Tutwiller (may be Tutwiler) married Anthony Shough Shuck in 1781 and had a child named Mose in 1784-85 in Virginia. Anthony died in Greenbrier County, Va in 1786, so Mose would have been an infant or only 1-2 years . Anthony came to America in 1769 on board the Minerva, according to a reference made in "Pennsylvania German Pioneers by Strassburger". He could have been Schoch, the Shough in the middle name, but was apparently German because he is in the book. I don't have a copy of the marriage bond, but MaryLynn Glover has done extensive research on the Shuck family and provided me with the info that I have. She has a World Tree: Albert B. Belt. Anthony is ID#180273832 in their tree. He came to Philadelphia, PA. 11/9/1769, but I cannot find a Minerva that docked in Phila on that date, an October vovage, but he is in the book, according to Jaine Hiser, a descendent to a son of Mose Shuck, George Shuck. I don't know if Nancy re-married after the death of Anthony since they were only married for about 5 years. The tree has concentrated on the Shuck family. I have picked up on Nancy in an effort to determine where the family is originally from. I have tried Duttweiler/Dutwyler, Duttwyler...all variations of the name, I am assuming..... But, since I am a brand new research, I don't know how to find records....the message board has been a good place for me to start. I look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks again! Sheila Kline...I am assuming that they were married in Greenbrier County, Va since that is where Anthony died.
