Joseph Edward Tuten was the son of Perry and Eliz. Tuten who were both born in FL. He was born in FL on 15 Dec 1899. He worked as a mechanic. He died on 26 Oct 1922 early in the morning at his home, on Atlantic Blvd in South Jacksonville. He served in the navy during the World War. He is survived by his wife (unnamed but probably not Theodore as stated in the extraction of the death record), his parents who live in Shady Grove; two brothers: Leonard and Maynard Tuten and five sisters: Mrs Jessie Jacobs, and Mrs William Suber, MIss Frances Tuten and Miss Sarah Tuten of Shady Grove and Mrs Rex Sheffield of Alton. The body will be forwarded to Shady Brook (in obit, or Shady Grove in death record) tomorrow for interment.
