Tute Family in Vermont

I am not a Tute descendant but this family did marry into some of my lines.

I am looking for primary evidence to show that Ziba Tute was the son of Moses. I have information that points to a different father, i.e. Simon Tuttle of CT, the family Loyalist during the American Revolution.

Does anyone have proof of Ziba's parentage, or are you simply basing this on the fact that Ziba and Moses were in the same town in the 1790 US Census?

I am doing extensive research on the life of Ziba Tute, son of Moses. In addition to the census report, Ziba and Moses shared property interests in the Lyndon/Burke/St. Johnsbury area of VT. He also lived in St. J., where he served as a tythingman until 1798. I have no doubt that he was Ziba's father and also of Mercey, Keziah, Chloe, and Ziba, who was my 5x great grandfather. danielbhaslam111@yahoo.com
