BEEKMANTOWN -- Mrs. Florence E. Tusa, 74, of Stoney Acres Drive, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2006, at the CVPH Medical Center with her family by her side.
She was born in Beekmantown on Aug. 9, 1931, the daughter of John and Margaret (Dowd) Corcoran.
Florence was an excellent seamstress, cook and crafter. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy.
Florence was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret Corcoran; her husband, Ken Tusa; a brother, Francis Corcoran; and two sisters, Mary Corcoran and Ruth Martin.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne Tusa of New York City and Harley Tusa and his wife Lynn and their son Zachary of Stamford, Conn.; two daughters, Dawn Tusa-Palmer her husband Dr. George Palmer of Plattsburgh and their children Crystal, Gregory, Glenn and Timothy of Plattsburgh and Karen Tusa and her son Matthew of Latham; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. Interment will be at a later date at St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Chazy.
Donations may be made to American Cancer Society or the charity of one's choice.
