Orlando - Jan 30 - (Special) - Mrs. Walter Turner of Putnam, Conn, committed suicide this morning by shooting herself through the head in a tent on the fair grounds, where she had been living with her husband anf three small children since November . She left a note to her husband saying there was something wrong with her mind and she thought they would all be better off without her. The Turners are members of the tent colony, some ten or fifteen families of tourists, who have been living in tents on the fairgrounds for two or three months. The husband has been at work downtown and left his wife in her usual health this morning though somewhat nervous from a chronic malady. The oldest boy went downtown in the morning and on returning home found the dead body of his mother in the tent and a fourteen-months old baby lying by the side of the body and trying to fondle it. The parents were notified as soon as the tragedy had been known and the husband was hurrying toward the scene of the tragedy. The parents are Mr. and Mrs. Madison Angel and they are also residents of Putnam, Conn. Other members of the tent colony heard the report of the pistol but supposed it was shot by rabbit hunters.
