Columbia S. C. June 17 - Engineer William H. Turner and Fireman J. Young Carlisle, both of this city, lost their lives early this morning when southern extra freight train engine 275, south bound was wrecked at Styx, a small station seven miles southwest of Columbia. The locomotive and five cars left the rails. The cause of the wreck is unknown.
