I am still trying to figure out the dates of Zadock Turner's(1729-1819) marriages. The Georgia Soldiers in the Revolution. Said He married (1) Unknown wife in 1755 (2) Sabra Hicks (3) Mary Ann Blizzard.
The unknown wife he married has to be Rebecca Disharoon, daughter of Levin Disharoon and wife Rebecca. They were married 1755. They were still married as of 3 Aug. 1757, when Rebecca Disharoon, wife of Zadock Turner, received 1/3 of her father's Levin's Estate.
So, when did he marry Sabra Hicks? Does anyone have absolute proof that Henry Turner was the son of Sabra Hicks? And the date I have been given for his birth is 11 Mar 1758. Does anyone have proof that is his birthdate? Even if Rebecca died the day she received her 1/3 share from her father, which I doubt, from Aug-March is not nine months.
Could Henry be the son of Zadock and Rebecca? Perhaps she died in childbirth? He married Sabra Hicks after, then she was the Mother of Zadock Turner, Jr. The only proof I have been told that someone has Phillip Turner's bible (1767-1843) and in the bible it states that he is the son of Zadock Turner and Sabra Hicks. ( I have not seen the bible so I cannot confirm this) So it is for sure that Phillip Turner is son of Sabra. Does anyone have proof that Henry, Zadock, Joshua, Mary are also Sabra's?
And it has always been quoted that my 3rd great grandmother, Sabra Turner is the daughter of Zadock's 3rd wife, Mary Ann Blizzard. Would she have named a daughter after a previous wife?
These are just some of the questions that I have come up with.
