Mr. Stephen Turner, an old citizen of this neighborhood died at his home a little south of town, last Saturday night after a long illness. The funeral was held from the home on Sunday, attended by Rev. W. S. Hullett of the Methodist church. Mr. Turner's body was sent to Eldridge, Volusia county, for interment in the family plot. Mr. Albert Turner of Eldridge, who came here to be with his brother during his fatal illness was himself taken ill and died on the following Monday. Mr. Stephen Turner was 66 years of age, and his brother some older. They were pioneers in this section, having come here from Hamilton county prior to the civil war.
