My grandfather John Turner was born in England in 1880/1881. His parents where George and Harriet. George was a bricklayer. I am not 100% where they lived but either Manchester or Yorkshire. John had a wife who died in childbirth about 1905-1910. I believe the wife's name was Anne and the girl child was Catherine she was raised by Anne's parents as John migrated to Australia never to be seen again by his family in England.
He married my grandmother in Australia in 1929 aged in his 40's and had 6 daughters.
I have been trying to find my ancestors in England and John's family history but I cannot find them. I tried looking for George and Harriet's marriage with no luck either, Harriet's maiden name was Barry or Berry.
Any hints much appreciated or would love to hear from Turners with any of these names in their trees?
