My grandfather Stanley Francis Tuohey was bought up in NZ, the family coming originally from Ireland. I would like to find out more about the family - Stanley had 3 daughters, the father was a wood cutter and his mother died in the flu epidemic. Unfortunately alot of the history has been lost but if we could reconstruct a family tree it would be wonderful.

Thanks for your message - not too sure how all these Tuohey's mix in but john and Patrick seem to be family names - when your parents moved to the USA seems to be when my mother's family moved to NZ - ? the potato famine - we will try to find our family bible and see how it all links in. Thanks again - sheryl

Hi, I'm Karen Towey. I'm also searching for a child adopted from ireland (meath) to USA. Mothers name Monica Towey, which could have easily have been misspelt as Touhey! What is your birth year? Often in the mother and baby homes the birth mother would have stayed in the mother and baby home untill their child was adopted.
